Verlee entered life on November 24, 1934 in Rupert, Idaho.  She is the 10th of eleven children born to Hyrum and Laura Robbins and quickly became known as Squeak.  She died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday April 7, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a brief illness with the diagnosis of leukemia. Her spirit is carried on by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many extended family members and friends.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from this wonderful woman, during her 81 years. Among them: unconditional love, never judge a person by their walk of life, keep a positive attitude, continually learn, serve others, pay attention to your surroundings and keep an eye on the neighborhood, never go on your walk without a small bat and your whistle, reuse your zip-lock baggies, hugs are important, and never smoke.

She married her sweetheart in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 3, 1953. Verlee spent thousands of hours in service both with the community and church.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many auxiliary positions. Including serving with her husband on a proselyting mission to Ghana, West Africa. Where they made many new and eternal friends, some of which wanted to live with them, attend BYU Idaho and ride their bicycle to and from Rexburg daily. She enjoyed many hours working with the Minicassia Christmas Council.  In addition to being the mother for countless foster children.

Verlee was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Ira, son Myron Gerald, grandson Taylor Zane, her parents, and her brothers Gerald, Lovell, Gene, Max, Milton, and Rodney, sisters Gwen Stevenson, Lula Short, and Rae Bosworth.  She is survived by her children Verlynn (Phillip) Schenk, Charlotte Boardman, Teresa Frost, Stacy Ira (Stacey) Frost, and Kelly Todd Frost. Grandchildren Dana (Haywood) Johnson, Kara (Travis) Tegan, Jade (Liz) Schenk, Tosha (Paul) Saupan, and Jordan Nicolas. Great- grandchildren Nashaya and Isaiah Johnson, Halle, Brayden, Carter, and baby Schenk, Makia Supan, and Olivia Tegan. Her brother Leo (Barbara) Robbins, and many in laws, nieces, and nephews.

Viewing on Tuesday, April 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, 188 S. Hwy 24 in Rupert.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13 at 11:00 at 515 E 16th Street in Burley with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the service. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery.  Condolences may be left for the family at morrisonfuneralhome.net.

One of our favorite people has left this world. She will be missed. We loved her and always waited for her to come and greet us at sacrament meeting. I'm sure there is a great reunion with her husband. May the lord bless her family at this time.

From Leslie Wheeler
Aunt Verlee was a very special person to so many of us. She may be gone, but certainly not forgotten.

From the James Peterson family
We will miss Verlee so very much! We loved having her influence in our , and our children's lives. She taught us to LOVE and serve and care. There will be an empty place in our hearts. Love to her family- Verlynn, Teresa, Charlotte, Stacey and Kelly. It is privilege to know you. Thanks for sharing your mom and dad with us.

From Rita Taylor
Just about a month ago at a church event she commented to me how much she enjoyed coming in to where I work and seeing my lovely smile. But really I sure loved going to church and seeing her lovely smile the most.  A genuine and most endearing person in this community will be missed greatly.  Yet her sweet kindness will always be instilled in my heart.
