JANET LEE. ANNIS

Janet Lee Annis age 88, of Rupert, died October 12, 2016 at Countryside Care Center in Rupert, Idaho. Janet was born in Milan, Missouri on May 18, 1928, daughter of Eddie and Goldie Boyd and was the second of four children. She married Clyde M. Annis on February 22, 1947 in Twin Falls, Idaho where they farmed for several years. In 1954 they moved to Rupert until the time of her death. Janet was actively involved in bowling for over 20 years and had a passion for it. She also helped coach little league softball for 10 years. Janet was also involved in Jobs Daughters and Eastern Stars where she achieved the honor of Worthy Matron. Janet enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, needle point and sewing. She also enjoyed tole painting which she learned to do with her daughters. During the summer she enjoyed being outside working in her yard where she grew outstanding roses and many varieties of flowers as well as a vegetable garden. One of Janet’s favorite things was to go with her sister and friend Charlene Patterson on shopping trips where they would end their day by going out to eat. Charlene helped her a great deal when she was unable to drive anymore and her family was so grateful for all of her help. Janet was also known to have a love of cats, especially Siamese cats, she was fortunate that Countryside also had a variety of cats that roamed the premises and she could watch them outside her window. She enjoyed having her family around and especially at Thanksgiving so she could cook a feast for her family and everyone else who would venture in, everyone was welcome. Janet was preceded in death by her sister Anna Mae Anglesey and her brother Edward Boyd. She is survived by her husband Clyde Annis who she had been married to for 69 years and 3 daughters Mickey Meredith, Peggy (Leroy) Jarolimek and Bonnie (Steve) Torix. Janet has 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and best friend Charlene Patterson. In lieu of flowers Janet asks for donations to be sent to the Shriners Hospital. A gathering for friends and family will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert. Cremation services are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home & Crematory, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert.
