Juli Rae (Osterhout) Meline left this mortal existence on December 3, 2016, 6:20am at Minidoka Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occurred on September 23, 2016.

Juli was the seventh of eight children born to Devon and Betty Osterhout on August 24, 1966 in Burley Idaho.

She attended schools in Declo graduating from Declo High School in 1984. She attended Ricks College and studied many subjects including Archery and Astronomy. Juli was then able to fulfill her dream of serving a faithful mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Corpus Christi, Texas Mission.

Juli remained an active member of the LDS Church holding many callings such as primary teacher and leader, young women adviser, music chairman, choir director, activities leader, and visiting teacher. She also loved visiting and attending the temple often.

Growing up Juli loved working on the farm with her dad milking cows and riding and raising horses and learning a great work ethic. She obtained her License of Cosmetology and worked as a stylist and nail technician for many years and eventually opened her own salon, A Hair Parlor, located in the historic Wilson Theater building. She always appreciated and took special care of her friends and customers. You know who you are.

Juli was proud of all of her accomplishments, especially her family. She met her eternal companion, Clay Meline, while attending the singles branch in Burley. After two black eyes and a few months of courtship, Clay surprised her with an impromptu road trip on October 4, 1994 to the Grand Canyon where he proposed to her with a time capsule that he had hidden in the rocks. He had written the proposal 2 years prior while surrounded by the Lords beautiful creations during a visit there with work colleagues . They were then sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity on December 17, 1994.

During their twenty-two years of marriage, they were blessed with 4 children, Victoria, Chadwyn, Malissa and Cordel.

There is a great emptiness left in all of the hearts of the people that knew our beloved Juli here on this earth and a great rejoicing in Heaven by all those who were waiting for her there. Juli was blessed and developed many talents she is taking with on her next calling. Her life of service will never be forgotten and the heavens now have one of their very best angels back. The love she always expressed to everyone was unconditional and very influential. She supported and guided her children in the ways of the Lord in everything they did. School, community, sports, band, trendsetters, 4H, Scouting, camping, singing and everything about life here on our earthly home.

She was always the best example of a wife, mother, daughter, 4H leader, scouter, teacher, sister and overall a FRIEND. One of her best renowned talents was her love for music and being able to express it to anyone and everyone in many ways. She could sing and play her guitar for any occasion and lift the spirits of all. She truly had the voice of an angel and passed that on to her children.

Through this journey after the accident the family has been guided by the Lord and Juli in all aspects. This blessed them greatly with the time they needed to be with their beloved Juli. Juli made her own miracle!

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Devon and Betty, her brother, Chuck (Charlie,) her nephew, Derek, and her father in-law, Leon Meline.

She is survived by her Husband Clay and her 4 children Victoria Rae (20), Chadwyn Vint (17), Malissa June (16), Cordel James (12). Juli is also survived by her siblings John (Cathy) Osterhout, Tim (Nina) Osterhout, Kerry (Loretta) Osterhout, Sister in-law Marla (Chuck), Brent (Faye) Osterhout, Connie (Anthony) Myrdahl, Shauna (Mike) Buttars. By brothers and sisters in law on the Meline side and numerous nieces and nephews on both sides. She loves them all dearly.

The family wants to especially thank the emergency responders, the staff, nurses and doctors at Portneuf Medical Center, Southwest Idaho Advanced Care Hospital and Minidoka Memorial for their compassionate service and care.

Funeral will be held at 11am, Saturday, December 10th, 2016 at the Declo LDS Stake Center, 213 West Main in Declo. With Bishop Russel Bair officiating. Burial will follow at the Declo Cemetery. Visitors may call Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the Declo LDS Stake Center and 10-10:45 am on Saturday prior to the funeral service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Morrison funeral home in Rupert. morrisonfuneralhome.net

Juli has been like a sister to me and I can really feel the loss. I remember like it was yesterday when she went on her mission and all of a sudden she was getting married to Clay. She was so happy and when she went into beauty treatment it just fit her and brought her out of herself and she was so very successful.
We will miss her so much but I am sure her mom and dad are glad to see her and she has so many relatives just waiting to comfort her.

I have watched from a distance Juli's progress and set backs along the way.  My heart is saddened and the world is going to miss a truly wonderful, loving angel. Juli will be missed on this side of the veil, but the joy she is feeling there must be unbelievable! Thanks Juli for your love and example.  I look forward to seeing you someday and renewing our friendship. Take care Clay and know my prayers are with you and your family.

Clay and Family. I only new Juli a little while through Loren and Margarete. She did my nails one time when we were visiting. What a wonderful person she was. I've been keeping in touch through Margarete. Oh how she is going to miss one of her best friends. My prayers for you is that God will put his awesome arms around all of you and see you through this time. I prayed for Juli and family almost everyday since I found out. I prayed that God would heal her and her life would be normal again. He did heal Juli, just not in the way I was asking. I will continue to pray for all of you. Thank you for sharing Juli with us all.

Clay, Tori, Chad, Malissa, Cordell, our hearts are so full of love and sympathy for your sweet family. As you have gone through this difficult time you have been in our prayers constantly. We love Juli, we miss Juli, we are better because of Juli. We loved being in choir with her. She made singing fun. We enjoyed her lessons in Sunday school. Her testimony strengthened ours. We loved her effervescent smile and quick laughter. We loved the way she loved her family, with her whole heart and soul. We love your family. We will continue to pray for you all. May god bring peace to your home and your hearts.
