Becky Kay Bergener Washburn Hunter of Oakley, Idaho passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home October 4, 2019 from cancer. She was born in Logan, Utah February 19, 1936 to Arthur Colonial and Opal Juanita Bergener. She spent most of her life in Oakley, but lived in Blackfoot, Idaho for several years before returning to Oakley. She married Robert “Bob” Washburn in 1956 and they raised five children. They divorced in 2000 and she married James Hunter. Becky served in many calling as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to give service and shared her love of cooking with everyone. Her rolls will surely be missed. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, a brother, a brother-in-law, four sister’s-in-law and a grandson. She is survived by her children, Julie (Kent) Evensen, Loring (April) Washburn, Gilbert (Mayellin) Washburn, Anthony Washburn and Amanda Williams, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, and husband, as well as many other extended family members. The family would like to thank the Minidoka Home Health and Hospice for the loving care they gave to our mother during the last five weeks of her life. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Oakley Stake Center with Bishop Wayne Lind, officiating. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:00-7:30 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert and from 10:00 until 10:45 Saturday morning at the church prior to the funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert.
