Meg Russell Thomas passed away peacefully at her home in Rupert, Idaho on December 23, 2019. Meg was born in Burley, Idaho on October 27, 1961 to Robert and Midge Russell.
Meg was a very creative person who had the ability to find beauty in anything that she saw. She loved warmth, humor, music, good times with her friends and family and her beloved Dr. Phil. From day one she showed an immense passion for animals that carried on for the remainder of her life. Meg served in several occupations, but the one that she loved the most was cooking for her residents at the Parkview care facility. Anyone who was lucky enough to know or even spend time with Meg got the opportunity to truly understand the definition of the phrase, “great things come in small packages.”
Meg is survived by her son Zachary Thomas, her brother Bill, three sister Klaine, Patti and Vickie, 11 nieces and nephews and any cat that crossed her path. She was proceeded in death by her Mother and Father and her brother Rusty.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local humane society. In keeping with Meg’s wishes, there will be a private family service held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert.
