Daniel Hood, Jr., Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather, of Heyburn, Id, passed away at the Cassia Regional Medical Center, on July 16, 2016, surrounded by his family at the age of 64. He was born to the late Dan Hood Sr. and May Hood on September 29, 1951 in Fort Defiance, AZ, where he lived his younger years in Gallup, NM. There After he moved to Idaho at a young age with his family where he attended and graduated from Minico High School in May of 1969. Later he married Alsara K. Romero (Hood) in October of 1974. Six children were born to this union, two sons, Daniel Chase Hood III, Anthony Eugene Hood and four Daughters, Michelle Ann Hood (deceased), Laurie Lynn Mata, Valerie Hood (deceased) and Rachel Louise Flores. He is Survived by his wife, Alsara Hood , four remaining children, Daniel C. Hood III, Laurie L. Mata, Rachel L. Flores and Anthony E. Hood as well as four grand children, Angel G. Mata, Marcos A. Mata, Jaydin D. Chacon and Michael A. Flores. He is also survived by his three brothers, Alan Hood, Carson Hood and Edward Hood and five sisters, Barbara LaFontaine, Della Lish, Ida Young, Judy Fricke and Sandy Ziemann. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the friends and family that have extended a helping hand and for all of the prayers in their time of need.

BROKEN CHAIN

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.. "I love you my dear husband and forever will our children."- Alsara Hood. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Truth Tabernacle Church, 2459 Hiland Ave in Burley. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday
