Burley- Juan P. Martinez,84 , died on Tuesday April 4, 2017 at St Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Fall, Idaho.

He was born December 28,1932 in Martindale, Texas to Pedro and Catarina Martinez.

There he met the love of his life, Sabina Martinez . They were married on February 6, 1954 in Florence, Arizona. Together they settled and built their lives in Burley Idaho in 1957.

After spending 40 plus years working for JR Simplot CO. He retired and enjoyed spending time at home with his family and grandkids. His hobbies included gardening,yardwork, and doing home improvements to his beloved home.

Juan Is survived by his wife, Sabina and his children, Juan Martinez Jr of Salt Lake City, Utah. Hector Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, and Susana (Hector) Lara all of Burley Idaho. Robert Martinez of McAllen, Texas, David (Elda) Martinez of Caldwell, Idaho, and Norma Martinez of Twin Falls, Idaho. His 2 sisters, Olivia Arzola of El Paso, Texas and Sofia Cordero of San Marcos, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Maria Martinez, and a grandson Brendon Lara. His four brothers Alberto, Manuel, Pedro, and Cruz Martinez.

In keeping with Juan’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Private urn placement will take place at the Riverside Cemetery. Cremation services are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home & Crematory in Rupert.
