Reoma May Adams Smith, 90 passed away on May 13, 2017 in Rupert, Idaho. Reoma was born on August 8, 1926 in Leslie, Idaho to George William and Mary Francetta Lords Adams. She was the 8th of 10 children to bless this family. Reoma grew up on a small cattle farm in Leslie. The Lost River Valley was her playground and in her heart it was always her home. She graduated from Mackay High School in 1945. Following her graduation she moved to Idaho Falls, where she attended a beauty college there and received her license as a beautician. She worked there until she married Reynold Dennis (Denny) Smith on July 22, 1948 in Riverside, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Returning to Leslie, they made their first home on a small sheep farm, and started their family. Because of health issues, they had to sell the farm and moved to Blackfoot where Denny got a job as an auto body repairman. Reoma also went to work for the Bingham County School system as a lunchroom cook. They lived there until Denny retired, and eventually found themselves in Leslie once more living the farm life, helping Reoma's 2 brothers run their small cattle ranch. Reoma and Denny made one last move to Rupert, Idaho to be near their daughters. Reoma served as a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, and also in various positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed reunions, camping, crafting, and family history. Reoma is survived by her children: Richard Dennis (Rita) Smith of Gannett, Idaho; Merlene (Arlen) Hurst of Heyburn, Idaho; Leah Jean (Robert) Silcock of Burley, Idaho; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, her sister Lula Shaffer, and numerous neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynold Dennis Smith, a son, Lonnie Franklin Smith, a grandson, Nicholas Martin Silcock, a grandaughter, Stephanie Lynn Silcock Stubbs, her parents, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters.
