Ricardo Martinez, 56 of Burley Idaho, passed away December 26, 2017 at Genesis Twin Falls care center.

Rick was born July 31, 1961 in Rupert, Idaho to Juan and Sabina Martinez.

He was a genuine family man who loved spending time with his sons, grandchildren, friends and family. He enjoyed art, history, sports and many other activities. Most knew him to be a quiet man, but those close to him were able to see his true personality and how special of a man he was. He was full of jokes and laughter, he would do anything for his family and he could spend hours listening to music talking about the “good old days.” He’s had struggles with health issues but throughout it all, he’d weather the storms maintaining a good attitude. Although he left us too soon, this last battle brings peace to a man that will truly be missed by those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his sister Maria Martinez, and father Juan Martinez.

He is survived by his two sons Roman and Rolen Martinez and three grandchildren, his mother Sabina Martinez and siblings Juan Martinez, Hector Martinez, Robert Martinez, David Martinez & Susie Lara.

In keeping with Rick’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Private urn placement will take place at the Riverside Cemetery. Cremation services are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
