Margarito G. Villasenor of Minidoka, Idaho passed away peacefully in his home after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
Margarito was born April 4th, 1935 to Alfonso & Elena Villasenor. He then married his lifelong love Paula Olivan on January 4th, 1960. They shared over 58 Years together and had 8 children whom he still survives by Ruth (AB) Blount, Rebecca Diaz, Margarito (Loraine) Villasenor, Neftali Villasenor, MaryLu (Ronald) Davis, Sandra (Jesus) Tirado, Concepcion (Jose) Hernandez and Oscar (Ryoko) Villasenor. He had 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He had 9 siblings Alfonso Villasenor, Josefina Villasenor, Sophia Granado, Jose Villasenor, Carolina Morin, Julia Villasenor, Alejo Villasenor, Carmen Villasenor, and Elvira Villasenor.
Margarito lived a full and happy life. He cherished every moment that he had with his family. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed staying busy. He worked until he was 77. His hobbies included hunting and teaching his children and grandchildren how to shoot. He and his wife enjoyed gardening together and taking pride in their home. He also enjoyed woodworking. He would make benches, bird houses and anything he knew would make his wife happy.
Margarito always tried to look for the good in everyone. Even though he had eight children of his own he would take people into his home. He considered them as part of the family. He had one special adopted family member Leticia Martinez whom he loved like a daughter. He also volunteered as a foster grandparent at the Minidoka Head start.
He is preceded in death by his parents his brothers Alfonso Villasenor, Jose Villasenor, sister Sophia Granado and son Neftali Villasenor .
We would like to thank everyone that was there to help our father before his passing. MSTI in Twin Falls, Idaho, Dr. Manning, nurse Kathy.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Morrison Funeral Home in Rupert. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 also at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Rupert.
