William Roy Stokes, 53, of Rupert, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 in Burley, Idaho.  He was born on September 13, 1964 in Orange County, California to Jean Wright and Sidney Walter Stokes.  He was married to Christy Ann Stokes and has lived in Montana, California, Burley and Rupert. 

He has worked for J.R. Simplot, Grease Monkey, Ace Hardware, Gibson Truck and Auto, Circle A and Snake River Salvage.  He enjoyed playing with dogs, model cars, working on cars and helping everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Christy Ann Stokes; his siblings, Cherly Knopp, Bobby Gibson and Lynn Clark; and his Goddaughters, Brandi Lazenby and Abigal Lazenby.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his children Jasmine, Codie, Cory, Elizabeth and Anthony;  his brother Danny Stokes and his sister Rita Lacy.
