The Queen of our hearts, Doretha (Dottie) June Driesel 66, of Declo passed away August 29th, 2018 with her loving family by her side at her daughters home. Doretha was born February 28, 1952 to Lynn B. Hines and Lola Permelia Hines in Fairbanks Alaska. At nine months old Doretha took her first journey from Fairbanks Alaska, to Texas. She grew up in Malacoff, Texas with her siblings, Theresa Eileen Hines, Lynn Arthur Hines and Janice Christine Hines. At the age of 10 her family fell on difficult times, and she and her Siblings were placed in the Corsicana State Home by her parents. Where they became known as the Blooming Hines kids. This is where Doretha met and adopted her twisted sister, Rosemarie Wardino, after a battle for the Queendom. Doretha graduated from the Corsicana High School. After graduation she attended the Lady Lynns Beauty College in Texas. She married Joe Edwards, and had one daughter, Kasandra. They were divorced. Doretha and Kasandra moved to Sunny Side Washington, where she met and Married Richard Driesel who Adopted Kasandra in his heart and made her his own. The three of them, moved from Washington, back to Texas and finally to Burley Idaho where they built their home and Family. They gave Kasandra two baby Brothers, Thomas and Steven and another Sister of the heart, Sarah. Doretha met and adopted Lela Vallejo and Nedra Cooler as her heart sisters, and they had many crazy adventures together. Doretha worked at the Gipson Department store until they went out of business and then at JR. Simplot company for 26 years until they also shut down. After Simplot closed Doretha went to truck driving school, and drove truck for a couple years. Then she worked as a security officer for Boomtown in Reno NV.
Doretha is survived by her loving husband Richard. Her children Kasandra, Thomas and Steven. Her siblings Theresa, Lynn, and Janice. Her Sister in law LeNell. Her four Grand Daughters, Wynonna, Ash’Wy’Na, Alexus(Austin) and Emily(Brian). 2 grandsons, Cory, and Toby. Her Great Grand children who she loved with all her heart; Zane, Maizlee, Oliver, and Blaire. She also has many nieces and nephews, She loved and adored each and everyone of them. She is preceded in death by her, mother Lola Permelia Hines, Father Lynn B. Hines, Uncle Glen Christie, Uncle Don Christie, Mother in Law Mary Lou Faye Driesel, Father in law, Earnest Loren Driesel and Brothers in Law; Bill Driesel, Tom Driesel and 1 angel baby, and 2 Angel Grand babies. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert.
