Virgil Harold Dahlberg passed away peacefully at home on Sunday November 25, 2018 at age 81. Born in Bottineau North Dakota June 25, 1937 the oldest of 9 children to Elmer and Lillian Dahlberg.
He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1963.
Virgil and Florence (Pixi) Erven were married December 7, 1963 in Shelby Montana. They had 3 Children Barbra, Michael and Susan.
Virgil moved with his family to Idaho in 1975. He was a mechanic for Simplot and John Deer, he later worked for Idaho Equipment and Sheet Metal and for Circle G Trucking. He retired at 75 due to medical reasons. Virgil enjoyed hunting, camping, reading western books, playing cards and games with friends and family and spending time with his wife of nearly 55 years.
Survived by his wife Pixi, daughter Barbara (Dave) Francis, son Michael (Susan) Dahlberg, sisters Evie Hall, Helen Otto, and Vicky Solis, brothers Kenny Dahlberg and Leslie (Tina) Dalberg, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Susan Dickman, sister and brother-in-law Lester & Karen Kittleson and brothers Gene Dahlberg and Loren Dahlberg, sister-in-law Kathy Dahlberg, brother-in-law’s Elvin Hall and Ken Otto.
Virgil was a great man, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by many. Friends and family are invited to gather at 157 South Spartan, Rupert ID on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 10:oo a.m until 8:00 p.m.
