JAMES RODNEY GOODMAN

RUPERT - James Rodney Goodman, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home in Rupert on Thursday, November 19, 2015. He was born on October 19, 1934 in Rupert, Idaho, the son of Rodney and Corrine Goodman, owners of the Goodman Mortuary in Rupert. He married Rose Marie Reynolds on May 26, 1956. Jim served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a very skilled mechanic and a volunteer fireman. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love for gardening. He was an avid sportsman and loved camping with his family. Survivors include his sister, Eleanor Goodman of Northfield, MA; three daughters, Susan Goodman of Boise, Georgia Goodman of Burley and LaDawn Goodman of Meridian; two grandsons, James Leslie of Meridian and Brock (Becky) Leslie of Jerome; great grandchildren, Kenzie & Brinlee Leslie. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and younger brother. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation Services are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home & Crematory in Rupert.
