Edna Dorothy (Brown) Rice went to live with the angels on 3/2/2022.  She passed peacefully at home with her daughter by her side. Edna was born to Alma Duke and Rachel Lewis Brown on December 20, 1922.  She was the youngest of eight children, Wallace, Leo, Edward (Ted), Jesse, Hazel, Ethel, and Lola Mae, all deceased.

Edna married Walter J. Rice (Jerre) on November 24, 1945, three months after he returned from the war.  They lived in Weiser, Idaho and moved to Twin Falls in 1953.  They had three children, Bradley Walter (Linda, Jayne), Teresa Sue Prescott (John), and Brian Jere (Debi).  She was preceded in death by Jerre in 1982 and her son Brad in 2010. She has 4 grandchildren, Shelley Belieu, Christie Hall, Randy Rice, and Mitchell Rice, eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Edna worked for the telephone company for 31 years until she retired in 1981.  After retirement she kept the books for Verl’s Chevron for many years. She was a talented artist and enjoyed going to Jackpot with her best friend and sister-in-law, Katherine.

A celebration of life will be held at LaQuinta Inn, 539 Pole Line Road, Twin Falls on Saturday, March 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
