RHETA DEE CHRISTENSEN
OAKLEY - Rheta Dee Christensen, 87 year old Oakley resident, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Parke View Care and Rehabilitation Center in Burley. Rheta Dee Christensen was born November 18, 1934 in Oakley, Idaho to Chauncy Eugene Layton and Mary Ann Wilson Layton. She married Gary Comish Christensen on November 19, 1959 in the Logan Temple. Together they had five children. They had three daughters. Kellee (Kevin) Harwood, Karla Fowler, and Kollette Cleaveland (deceased) and two sons. Layton (Tish) Christensen and Lance Christensen. Twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One sister, Beverly Franks.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Oakley Stake Center with Bishop Wayne Lind, officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakley Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Church on Friday prior to the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert.
