Daniel Nathan Blair, 47, of Idaho Falls passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, in a tragic car accident.
Daniel was born a storyteller and natural friend. He drew people in with his warm personality, positive attitude, and assurance that in his presence no one would ever feel judged or alone. His ability to truly see and accept people, flaws and all, was a lesson in empathy we all can continue to learn from.
He loved fishing, camping, and schooling others in card games, but was most happy doing anything with family or friends. He was happy to just be there.
As a career, a hobby, and a helping hand, he was a mechanic. He never turned a person away who needed help. He was there for others even when he couldn’t be there for himself. His absence is already felt deeply in the world of those who have had the honor to know him.
Despite facing many trials in his life, he remained positive and never lost faith. He had a deep connection to God and modeled his acceptance and love of others after that connection.
Daniel is survived by his children: Keisha Blair of Idaho Falls, ID, Jude Blair of Idaho Falls, ID, and Lola Ovard of Driggs, ID; his grandchildren: Marlee Ruoho, Ziggy Blair, Dayton Blair, and Hudson Jensen; his mother Linda Lazzarotto of Idaho Falls, and siblings Kaylynne Blair, Keith Blair, Melissa (Josh) Tuttle, Trisha (Jeremy) Schmidt, Matthew (Hailey) Blair, Leah May Gandenberg, Amanda Blair, Felicia Blair, Lehi Blair, and Shannon Williams; many nieces and nephews as well as countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Blair, and his brother Harvey Earl Blair II.
Services will be held at Rise Church, 502 2nd St. Idaho Falls, ID 83401, Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
