Though I didn’t know him well, I always admired the man he was. He carried himself with such grace and holiness that I truly believed he could walk on water. He was someone I looked up to, and I hope one day I can embody even a fraction of the goodness and faith he lived by. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
With love. His Niece... Jamie Nelson

I really appreciate the time we spent together and the service that we did together. George was an excellent Stake Executive Secretary and was a really good Bishop. He loved every member of his ward. I had some very spiritual experiences with him and I had some very fun times with him also. He had such a great sense of humor. I wish I could have seen him prior to his passing so that I could have expressed my love and appreciation to him, but we don't always get to do all we want. Thanks George – M. Gene Hansen

He would be sitting in that chair on the porch (see picture above) when i went by to pick him up. Then off to the wayside so he could give Laurie a bad time along with some of his old friends. Everyone knew George and i think almost every one really liked him. I know he held a a special place in my heart. SEED YA later my old friend. LOVE YOU MAN was also a favorite saying of his.
