Bob was born February 15, 1942 in Jerome, Idaho to LaVintz and Begie Grant Hatmaker.  He was raised in Shoshone, Idaho with his sister Joyce. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 43 years until his retirement, where he earned the nickname Railroad Bob. In 1968, he married Francie Clark and had two daughters, Pam Hatmaker Donley and Terri Hatmaker.  They were later divorced.  He married Earlene Montgomery in 1979 and gained four children, Cory Towell, Monty Towell, Randy Towell, and Jenny Schenk.

 

He enjoyed spending time at the different cabins that were owned over the years.  He loved his family, hunting, fishing, mountain drives to spot wildlife and Bud Light.  He taught his kids and most of his grandkids how to fish.  He was a hard worker and a man of few words.  He loved cooking breakfast for all of the family when they were at the cabin, even making Mickey Mouse pancakes for the grandkids when they were young.  As a family, we find comfort knowing he is at peace.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Earlene, his children Pam Donley, Terri Hatmaker, Cory Towell, Randy Towell and Jenny(Kirk) Schenk, his sister Joyce(Don)Worrell, brother in law LeRoy(Jim)Honsinger, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents LaVintz and Begie Hatmaker, father and mother in law LaVern and LaVeta Montgomery, a son Monty Towell, and a brother in law Jerry Honsinger.
