Our loved one heard the call that it was time to go. Marshall Burrell Henderson 60, of Burley finished the last chapter of his life on this earth at his home with his family by his side on April 4, 2015. Marshall was born January 22, 1955 in Jerome, Idaho to Marshall Burrell and Mary Katherine Henderson. He had three sisters Mary, Katherine, and Elizabeth. He went to school in Wendell, Idaho where he was active in school sports. This was where he met his future wife Teresa L. Higginbotham. After school he worked at Marlow’s meat market in Wendell. Marshall graduated from Wendell High School on May 26, 1973. Marshall and Teresa later married on November 17, 1973 and moved to Burley, Idaho. They had three children April, Angel, Monte, and then adopted their granddaughter Tanisha in 2011. His other grandchildren were Michael, Macey, and Riley. Marshall was a real people person. It seemed like he knew everyone. He had a great love for family, friends, the outdoors, hunting, motorcycles, and cars. He also had a lot of friends who were like brothers, and many of their children called him Uncle Marshall. He had a heart of gold, and was always helping and doing things for people he knew and some he just met. He worked for Simplot in Heyburn, in the oil fields for Halliburton in Montana, on the Lady Luck Ranch and trucking company in Dietrich doing farm work, diesel mechanic and driving truck. He worked for OreIda Foods in Burley, and also for Agri-Service in Heyburn where he worked for over 20 years first as a mechanic then as the shop manager. In 2009 Marshall became ill but worked till 2011. He just couldn’t give it up. He enjoyed working with the farmers and the employees at Agri-Service. He felt they needed him and he didn’t want to let them down. He took early retirement in 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Teresa, two daughters April Henderson DeZorzi and Tanisha Henderson, son Monte (Heidi) Henderson, three grandchildren Michael, Macey, and Riley, two sisters Mary Packer, Elizabeth (Owen) Fallen, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Katherine Zemke, his mother Mary Katherine Henderson, his daughter Angel Henderson who died at birth, his niece Andrea Packer, and his father Marshall Burrell Henderson. The family would also like to thank Horizon Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home 188 S. Highway 24 Rupert.
