On May 11, 1917, a beautiful daughter, Claudine Marie, was born to David & Alice Boyd in Parma, Idaho. On January 24, 2015, she was reunited with her loved ones in Heaven. As a little girl, with her daddy working for the railroad, the family moved a lot before settling in American Falls, Idaho.
This is where she attended school and graduated in 1935. This is also where she met Laurel "Bud" Allred. They married and were blessed with eight children. Jay (Donna) Allred of Powers, Oregon, Lois (Dale) Kutterer of Westpoint, Utah, Lynn Allred of Leaburg, Oregon, Linda (Richard) Berry of Greenview, California, Michael (Barbara) Allred of Azalea, Oregon, Judy (John) Steinmetz of Twin Falls, Idaho, Diana (Jon) Taylor of Paul, Idaho, and Gary Allred of Albion, Idaho. She met Charles "Chuck" Johnson and became the apple of his eye. They were married in 1963. With this union came six more children: Chuck (Charlotte) Johnson of Norman, Oklahoma, Marie (Tom) Burris of Everett, Washington, Kieth Johnson (Tammy) of Evanston, Wyoming, Brenda Jefferson (Mike) of Noble, Oklahoma, Clay (Linda) Johnson of Everett, Washington, and Tracy (Lori) Johnson of Marysville, Washington. The Lord blessed this family with 51 grandchildren, 134
great-grandchildren, & 56 great-great-grandchildren. Claudine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. There was not much she didn't enjoy in this life. Her sense of humor was a gift to anyone who knew her. After Chuck passed away in 2013, she moved into Countryside Care Center in Rupert, Idaho, where she became one of the favorites. She taught the nurses, who tended her, to be on their toes. Whether it was snapping rubber bands, squirting a water gun, throwing snowballs or prank calling, she continued to bring joy to everyone. She brought love and laughter to all who knew her. She often said laughter was the key to a
happy life. Claudine was raised in a Protestant church and always had a strong faith in her Lord. Claudine has one surviving brother, Lewis Boyd of Mountain Home, Idaho. She was proceeded in death by her husband, one stepson Clayton Johnson, two grandsons Michael Allred Jr. and Dan Steinmetz, one granddaughter Janet Allred, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter, along with her three sisters, Leona, Harriet & Wilma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The family would like to offer a big thank you to the entire staff at Countryside Care Center in Rupert for the care they gave Claudine. They made her feel special and became family to her. We can never express enough appreciation for all of the hospitality and support you gave during her last years in this life. . Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Paul Pine Chapel located at the Paul Cemetery. Burial will follow in the Paul Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert.
