On July 10th, we discovered that with the prospect of facing another weekend of Utah traffic to visit her family in Burley, Lana chose to return to her Heavenly Home instead.

Lana was born February 28th, 1978 in Burley, Idaho to Wayne and Jaunee Savage Harvison.  She attended grade school in Burley and graduated from Burley High School in 1996 with honors.  She attended Boise State University.  She quit school to work at Micron in Boise where she continued to attend and teach math classes in addition to her job.

At the time of her death, Lana was employed at I.M. Flash Technologies in Lehi, Utah.  She enjoyed those she worked with and made many friends.  Her co-workers say she was well liked and easy to talk to.

Lana loved music.  She was a member of the Burley Band and Jazz Band where she played the tenor saxophone and trumpet.  She was also a proud member of the Boise State Blue Thunder Marching Band Trumpet Line.  She was a fan of all types of music and could name a song with just a line of lyric or notes.  She enjoyed reading fantasy and mystery novels, playing video games, cussing at video games, logic and crossword puzzles, street hockey, and camping.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a powerful testimony.  She loved cats and dogs.  She was especially attached to her "baby dog" Jaxon.  She was a wonderful aunt and loved her niece, Jessica, a whole bunch.  Lana always made sure Jess had everything she needed and didn't hesitate to show her friends pictures of "our" baby.  She was a huge fan of Dr. Pepper and felt a kinship with other fans.  She loved her truck and her IPads and insisted she be buried with them, so we told her we would cremate her instead.  BOOM!

Lana is survived by her father, Wayne Harvison of Burley, her sisters, Jennifer (Tristan) Cook and Becky (Jim) Pierson of Burley, her niece, Jessica Jaunee and her kitty niece, Stomps.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jaunee Harvison.

A memorial service will be held at Morrison Funeral Home, 188 S. Hwy 24, Rupert, Idaho on Monday July 18, 2016 at 11:00 am.  Her remains will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn, Idaho immediately following the service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Rupert.  Online condolences may be left for the family at morrisonfuneralhome.net.
