Nellie Pearl Berg,  85 year old Rupert resident, died Monday, September 26, 2016 at Countryside Care Center in Rupert. Nellie was born on March 2, 1931 in Wendell, Idaho, the daughter of Walker and Naomi Grandsbury Wayment. She married Lawrence Carl Berg in November 1965 in Reno, Nevada. She is survived by two daughters, Nicki (Max) Vaughn and Peggy (Bob) Moore; her son, Mike Brown. Two brothers, Orville (Marilyn) Wayment and Larry (Darlene) Wayment. One sister, Karen (Lewis) Hall. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence; her daughter Julie Williams; one brother and one sister, and three grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Countryside Care Center for the care and compassion that was shown their Mom. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert. Burial will follow in the Rupert Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Morrison Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Rupert Christmas Lighting Committee. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert. Nicki, Max and family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Nellie.  She was a very dear and special person in my life.  She was so dedicated for many years to her church work and church family.  Nellie was a definate precious gem in the lives of people she met.  Nellie is rejoicing today as she is home with our Lord.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  May the love of Jesus and the memories of Nellie give you the strength you need during this difficult time.  Remember Jesus is our rock…with much sympathy..
