WESLEY P. BURR SR.

Wesley P Burr Sr-57 of Rupert passed away at his home on October 31, 2016. Wes was born March 22, 1959 to Marguerite and Roy Burr in Weymouth Mass. After high school, he joined the Navy where he was stationed on the USS Quapaw. He married Shyla in 1979, together they had 5 kids. Wes worked a number of places as a mechanic. The last 20 years, he was employed at Amalgamated Sugar Factory. Wes always enjoyed a cold beer and a good smoke. He also enjoyed taking his grandsons hunting, fishing and camping. He looked forward to taking his granddaughters out for lunch and ICEE's. He loved his cattle, tinkering on cars and welding. He is survived by his children Gelina (Matt) Timmons, Brandi Molina, Wes Burr Jr, Bill (Amber) Burr and Karisa Burr. 18 grandkids, his mom Marguerite, brothers Greg, Alan (Cheryl) and Roy,and sister Laura. He is preceded in death by his Dad Roy. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert with military rites provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the memorial service. Cremation and services are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
