You will deeply be missed fly with thr angEls ruff up their feathersAllen Hodge, 60 year old Burley resident, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his home in Burley. He was born May 24, 1958 in Burley, Idaho, the son of James C. and Shirley Johnson Hodge. He attended schools in Burley and Murtaugh. As a boy he worked for Wolf Break Shop and Burley Livestock Sale Yard. He worked for several local farmers including Funk Farms and drove truck for Darrel Mingo. He also worked as a Bartender at Nelson's Café & Pilots Club. In 1977 he had a daughter Melissa Binum. In 1978 he married Terry Middleton at Nelson's Banquet Room in Burley. With this marriage, he adopted her son, Benji Morris. They later had a daughter Summer Hodge. They were later divorced but remained friends. In 1992 he met LaDawn Berg and she has been by his side up until his death. Allen was the adventurous one of the siblings. He used to hitch hike around the country, ride a train car state to state. In 2004 he was injured in a severe car accident which left him disabled, but didn't slow him down much. He is survived by his companion, LaDawn of Burley, his mother, Shirley Hodge of Rupert, two brothers, Terry (Karolyn) Hodge St. Anthony, Darrel (LeeAnne) Hodge of Rupert, his “brother from another mother” Jimmy Lee (Val) Hale of Rupert. Two sisters, Brenda Linzy of Burley and Phyllis Craythorn of Rupert. His children, Summer Hodge of Heyburn, Benji Morris of Twin Falls, Melissa (Danny) DeNaughel of Twin Falls. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zach, Iesha, Soriah, Jacob, Ryder, Lance, Kaitlyn, Destiny, Danielle, one great-grandson, Zeke. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Dad, James; brother Dale; his granddaughter, Shaylyn; brothers-in-law, David Linzy, Darrel Craythorn. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert. Urn placement will take place at a later date at the Pleasant View Cemetery.
