Thomas Lee Judd passed away at his home in Heyburn, ID on April 11, 2021.

Tom was born in Burley, ID on February 7, 1952.  He was the son of Marion John and Edna Faye Saxton Judd.

Tom graduated from Minico H.S. in 1970 where he was known for his wrestling abilities.  “He was a state placer every year through HS and as a senior he took 1st place. Tom was offered many full ride scholarships in wrestling but decided to accept the scholarship to University of Idaho.  At U of I, he was the recipient of the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award in 1971 and finished the season with a 13-2 record. In 1972 he was red-shirted with a knee injury and later U of I dropped their wrestling program.  Tom continued at U of I graduating with a B.S. degree in Education in 1975.

Tom moved back to his hometown of Heyburn, ID after college taking a Production Quality Control Foreperson position at J.R. Simplot Co. in 1975.

He departed Simplots and started Judd Farms, his own private cattle operation in 1985.   Most evenings and weekends you could find Tom at Skeeter Flats or other area roping arenas following his passion of team roping.  He managed Skeeter Flats for many years with his cousin Alan Smith.

In 2000 he started his own fly spraying business called HID Pest Control Inc.  The HID stood for Honesty, Integrity and Dependability.

Tom will be remembered for his generosity and kindness to others.

Tom is survived by his children John (Brooke) Judd, and Katrina (Jason) Wyant, his grandchildren: Cade Wyant, Carson Wyant, Meaghyn Judd, Phoebe Judd and Isaac Judd.  He is also survived by two brothers Fred (JoAnn) Judd, Paul (Connie) Judd and a sister Peggy (Kent) Moore.

Tom was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Mandy Judd and his parents Marion and Faye Judd.

Grandpa Tom was always there for me. He "adopted" me when I was about 16. I always knew I could show up on his doorstep any time (even 2am) and he would welcome me with open arms... and make me breakfast in the morning. I loved staying up all night listening to all his stories. I don't know which were my favorite the childhood, rodeo, or parenting stories. I know he touched a lot of lives and will be greatly missed by so many people.

I AM SO SADDENED TO HEAR OF TOMS DEATH. HE AND I WERE GREAT FRIENDS DURING HIGH SCHOOL AND WE HAD SOME GREAT TIMES (MAYBE SOMETIMES NOT ENTIRELY LEGAL AND SANE, BUT GREAT TIMES THEY WERE). i REMEMBER GOING TO ALL HIS WRESTLING MEETS AND BEING AWED BY HOW QUICK AND STRONG HE WAS. I SO WANTED TO ATTEND THE SERVICE BUT MOTHERS DAY I WILL BE AWAY WITH FAMILY. I PRAY THAT GODS ALL ENCOMPASSING PEACE AND COMFORT COVER YOU ALL.
