Martin Arthur Brewer

1933 – 2021 Martin Arthur Brewer passed away October 25, 2021 in Burley, Idaho. He was born February 28, 1933 in Mount Pleasant, Utah to William Arthur and Maurine Ione Rasmussen Brewer. He married Jo Ann Larsen on March 5, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was drafted into the Army in 1953 and served his country in Germany until 1955.

Martin enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and camping. He spent many hours fishing on the Madison River, the Provo River, and at Clark Canyon Dam. He went hunting every year with his brothers, cousins, and uncles. He loved the outdoors.

Martin loved to sing around the house and took singing lessons as an adult. He loved to sing at family gatherings.

Martin received a scholarship to Salt Lake Vocational school and received a degree in welding. He continued as a welder until he retired. The last job he had before he retired was building the steel structures for the San Diego Temple.

He is survived by children Sharleen (Paul) Casper of Nampa, ID, Arthur (Tonnie) Brewer of West Valley City, UT, Merrie Ann Welch of Heyburn, ID, and Wayne (Shirley) Brewer of West Jordan, UT, siblings, Bert Brewer, Salt Lake City, UT, Roger Brewer, Las Vegas, NV. Preceded in death by his wife, parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. He had 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on November 2, 2021 in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Utah.
