Dion Dedrick, 57, of Rupert, Idaho, passed away on July 24, 2026.

Born on June 5, 1969, in Visalia, California, Dion lived a life filled with laughter, stories, music, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Dion is survived by his mother, Joann Schneider; his children, Kirsten Dedrick and Landon Dedrick; his son-in-law, Edward; his niece, Katelyn Dedrick; and many other family members and friends who loved him.

Dion was known for his incredible sense of humor, his love of hunting, and his passion for music. A devoted fan of 70s and 80s rock, he especially loved bands like KISS and Journey. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, brighten even the hardest days, and leave everyone with a story to remember.

Above all, Dion loved his family. He always had a story to tell for any occasion, and those stories, along with his laughter and the memories he created, will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Dion will be missed by all of us that know and love him. I’ll miss hid stories, his laughter and his quick wit. He could make anyone laugh in the saddest moments and make you forget why you were sad. I know you’re no longer in pain, because I know you’re in Heaven with all of your family. I just realized you passed 20 years and 1 day before Doug. Give him and everyone else a big hug. I know you’ll keep them all laughing so be good until we all see you again. Joann try to stay strong. You have so many things to be proud of. We love you very much. God bless
